Learning and Development Manager

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping the professional development of our employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive L&D strategy, identifying and addressing skill gaps, and ensuring a strong learning culture is embedded within the organisation.

You will be working remotely or on a hybrid basis, but will frequently travel within the day for delivery of face-to-face learning and development events internally and externally for prospective clients and existing clients or other business partners.

Our delivery team comprises of qualified specialists with diverse experience and multidisciplinary technical and financial advisory skills. We leverage on our expertise to maximise benefit for our clients who invest in construction, property acquisition or innovation projects.

What will you be doing?

  • Have a good understanding of the businesses’ services and be able to advise others about them.
  • Face to face or virtually meetings and training sessions both internally and externally with clients and third parties.
  • Understand the learning and development needs of our clients where appropriate and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
  • Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.
  • Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of them.
  • Manage, mentor and train your team, including arranging external training where appropriate.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of individual, departmental, and organisational learning and development needs.
  • Partner with senior management and HR to identify skills gaps and future training requirements.
  • Design and develop a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Create and deliver engaging and effective learning programs, utilising a variety of methods (e.g., e-learning, workshops, coaching, mentoring).
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships with external training providers.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new hire induction programs.
  • Manage the L&D budget and ensure cost-effective training solutions are implemented.
  • Track, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of L&D programs and learning initiatives.
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate and stay up-to-date on the latest learning and development trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to building a strong learning culture within the organisation by promoting continuous learning and development opportunities.

  • Track record of developing and implementing successful learning programs.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and methodologies.
  • Organisational skills, and the ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools is a plus.
  • A full driving licence is a requirement.
